As mandated in the 1945 Constitution which says that the earth, water, and natural resources contained in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is the grace of the Almighty God to be exploited and used for the greatest prosperity and welfare of the people of Indonesia. For the welfare and prosperity of people equitably, especially for natural resources, it needs to be managed and used sustainably, harmoniously, and balanced to achieve the advanced, efficient, and strong agriculture.
In order to develop a strong agriculture, the roles and functions of biochar need to be developed in line with the increase of the quality of agricultural products. To improve the quality, the role of biochar as a means of agricultural production is necessary to set up a coordinating institution that can hold inspiration, collaboration, communication, human resource development, research and development, business aspects, and others.
