The Flux Farm Foundation is located in Carbondale, CO (United States) with a staff of three working on biochar. Despite building interest among scientists and policy-makers over the potential benefits of biochar, little is known about the logistics of applying biochar to soil at scale in an agricultural setting--the focus of recent biochar work. The foundation also planned and implemented the first scaled biochar mine reclamation project during the fall of 2010 in Aspen, Colorado. The project was entirely privately funded.
